HSC ATAR Estimator

Enter your expected per-unit scaled marks to estimate your HSC ATAR. Uses UAC's published calculation rules — best 2 units of English plus best 8 remaining units — and the official 2025 aggregate/ATAR table. The result is an estimate; your official ATAR is calculated by UAC from your final HSC results.

Scaled marks and the aggregate → ATAR conversion depend on your cohort year.

Enter the scaled mark (per unit, 0–50) you expect in each HSC course. Scaled marks are on a 1-unit basis — a 2-unit course contributes 2 × its per-unit scaled mark. They are not your HSC mark, and UAC does not report them to students; if you don't know yours yet, use the 2025 course statistics shown under each course as a guide.

You need at least 10 eligible units for an ATAR. You have 0 eligible units — add more courses to calculate an aggregate.

How this estimate works

  • Your aggregate = your best 2 units of English + your best 8 units from your remaining eligible HSC courses, built from the per-unit scaled marks you entered.
  • Scaled marks are not HSC marks. UAC scales every HSC result so courses are comparable. Scaled marks are on a 1-unit basis (0–50) and are not reported to students.
  • Your aggregate is not your ATAR. The aggregate is converted to an ATAR ranking using UAC's aggregate/ATAR table for your cohort year.
  • This is an estimate, not an official result. UAC calculates your actual ATAR from your final HSC results.
  • The estimator applies UAC's ATAR eligibility rules (10 eligible units, 2 units of English, three 2-unit Board Developed courses, 4 subject areas) — it is not a check of your HSC credentials or results.
